'She's worried about the truth coming out': New documents reveal Taylor Swift demanded evidence that she approved Kanye West song was DESTROYED

  • Feud sparked by Kanye's reference to Taylor in a song, where he rapped 'I made that b***h famous'
  • Taylor's statement seemed to share mock sympathy for Kim saying that due to said pressure, she 'does not hold anything against Kim Kardashian'
  • In her GQ spread, Kim claims Taylor had said she'd 'laugh' over the situation as she 'was in on it the whole time'
  • She says Taylor's lawyers demand the couple 'destroy' video footage of conversation

Taylor Swift has been engaged in an ongoing feud with rapper, Kanye West, after he referenced her in his song, Famous.

After Kim Kardashian insisted the singer and rapper's conversation about the track was recorded, a new report said there is written evidence between the pair's lawyers of the disputed discussion.

Taylor was said to have demanded Kim and Kanye delete video footage of her apparently giving her consent to being labelled a 'b**ch' in the rapper's controversial song.

Firing back: New documents reveal that Taylor Swift demanded Kim and Kanye destroyed the recording in which she gave her consent to the song, Famous

The song enraged the pop star with its lyrics: 'I feel like me and Taylor Swift might still have sex, I made that b**ch famous.'

In a new interview published last week, Kim claimed that Taylor had not only approved the lyrics, but also agreed to laugh about the song at the Grammy awards in February.

But the Bad Blood singer says that although the phonecall did take place, she never heard the song and, as a result, she could not give her full approval.

However, The Sun has seen a letter from Taylor's lawyers demanding that Kanye destroyed the phone recording.

A source told the paper: 'Taylor got her lawyers to threaten Kanye and demanded that the recording was killed. They stressed the phone call was confidential and that publishing it would violate her rights.

'It validates that a taped conversation where Taylor was on board with the song does exist, and just shows how worried she is about the truth coming out.'

But Taylor has not taken the comments lying down, and after the revelation came to light, her team released a statement, which read: 'Kanye West and Taylor only spoke once on the phone while she was on vacation with her family in January of 2016 and they have never spoken since.

'Taylor has never denied that conversation took place.

'It was on that phone call that Kanye West also asked her to release the song on her Twitter account, which she declined to do.

'Kanye West never told Taylor he was going to use the term, "that b**ch" in referencing her. A song cannot be approved if it was never heard. Kanye West never played the song for Taylor Swift.'

The team went on to say that Taylor only heard the track for the first time when everyone else did and felt 'humiliated' by the lyrics.

Last week, Kim threw down the gauntlet in her GQ cover story when she accused Taylor of lying about her about her side of the now infamous feud with Kanye.

And never one to shy away from defending herself, the 26-year-old fired back, revealing she thinks the reality star is 'under pressure' to agree with her husband.

Kim reignited the ongoing feud on Thursday when she alleged Taylor had in fact approved Kanye's controversial Famous lyrics.

'She totally approved that,' the 35-year-old cover girl said, adding: 'She totally knew that that was coming out. She wanted to all of a sudden act like she didn't.'

Team Swift responded with a jab at the couple's marriage with a statement that read: 'Taylor does not hold anything against Kim Kardashian as she recognizes the pressure Kim must be under and that she is only repeating what she has been told by Kanye West.

'Taylor heard it for the first time when everyone else did and was humiliated. Kim Kardashian's claim that Taylor and her team were aware of being recorded is not true, and Taylor cannot understand why Kanye West, and now Kim Kardashian, will not just leave her alone.'

Not having it: Taylor had called out Kanye in her now-famous Grammys speech, talking about people 'who will try to undercut your success or take credit for your accomplishments or your fame'

Taylor previously slammed the 39-year-old rapper in her Grammy awards acceptance speech, but now Kim is insisting that she in fact HAD approved the lyrics, and was just keen to continue playing the victim.

'I swear, my husband gets so much sh*t for things [when] he really was doing proper protocol and even called to get it approved,' the mother-of-two continued, seemingly frustrated.

Kim also questioned: 'What rapper would call a girl that he was rapping a line about to get approval?'

The Keeping Up with the Kardashians star explained that a videographer had been filming as they took the phone call - the call in which Taylor had approved the controversial line.

They've got witnesses! Kim insisted that Rick Rubin and 'so many respected people in the music business' had heard Taylor and Kanye's phone call about the lyric, which was also reportedly caught on videotape

Kanye reportedly commissions videographers to film everything whenever he is working on an album.

She said that Taylor and Kanye's conversation is on video, and that the Blank Space star 'totally gave the okay'.

Kim continued: 'Rick Rubin was there. So many respected people in the music business heard that [conversation] and knew.'

So why haven't they just released the video of the conversation to clear their name? Kim says Taylor's lawyers sent over a letter saying: 'Don't ever let that footage come out of me saying that. Destroy it.'

Kim said the lawyers urged: 'Don't you dare do anything with that footage' also asking the famous couple to 'destroy it'.

She explained that they hadn't intentionally filmed the phone call as evidence against Taylor, but had caught it on tape as the cameras just happened to be continuously rolling.

'You just film everything, and whatever makes the edit, then you see, then you send out releases. It's like what we do for our show.'

After discussing the tape with Kim, GQ reported that they had reached out to Kanye's team, who confirmed both the existence of the footage, and that they had heard from Taylor's legal team.

Kim also excused her husband's use of the word b***h, explaining: 'I mean, he's called me a b***h in his songs. That's just, like, what they say. I never once think, [gasping] "What a derogatory word! How dare he?" Not in a million years.'

The Kimojis creator seemed genuinely surprised about the situation, suggesting that Taylor 'just, you know, flipped all of a sudden'.

She shared: 'It was funny because [on the call with Kanye, Taylor] said, "When I get on the Grammy red carpet, all the media is going to think that I'm so against this, and I'll just laugh and say, 'The joke's on you, guys. I was in on it the whole time."'

Kim continued: 'And I'm like, wait, but [in] your Grammy speech, you completely dissed my husband just to play the victim again.''

She was referring to when Taylor hit the stage to accept her award for Album of the Year at the 2016 Grammys.

The star received much praise for her hitback at Kanye - following the release of Famous - as she offered a subtle dig the rapper in her acceptance speech.

She said: 'As the first woman to win Album Of The Year at the Grammys twice, I want to say to all the young women out there: there are going to be people along the way who will try to undercut your success or take credit for your accomplishments or your fame.

'But if you just focus on the work and you don't let those people sidetrack you, someday when you get where you're going, you'll look around and you'll know it was you and the people who love you who put you there and that will be the greatest feeling in the world.'

In a Twitter tirade in February following the furore, Kanye insisted the blonde star was well aware of the lyrics: 'I did not diss Taylor Swift and I’ve never dissed her...

'First thing is I’m an artist and as an artist I will express how I feel with no censorship. 2nd thing I asked my wife for her blessings and she was cool with it.

'3rd thing I called Taylor and had a hour-long convo with her about the line and she thought it was funny and gave her blessings.

'4th B**ch is an endearing term in hip hop like the word N**ga. 5th thing I’m not even gone take credit for the idea… it’s actually something Taylor came up with… She was having dinner with one of our friends who’s name I will keep out of this and she told him. I can’t be mad at Kanye because he made me famous! #FACTS.'

His Twitter rant came after Taylor put out a statement denying she was OK with the song's 'misogynist' lyrics.

Her spokesperson said at the time: 'Kanye did not call for approval, but to ask Taylor to release his single Famous on her Twitter account. She declined and cautioned him about releasing a song with such a strong misogynistic message. Taylor was never made aware of the actual lyric, "I made that b**ch famous."'
